August has continued to give us poppies, sweet pea, daffodils, earlicheer, jonquils, freesias, hyacinth, tulips and iris.

Ranunculus have been beautiful and started this month, and lavender too started in August.

We have still managed to receive locally grown roses, although the colour range and numbers have been limited.  For any big orders, we have had to top up with imports.  Both the Sydney growers and the Melbourne growers have been producing beautiful large heads, and lovely quality roses.

Blue butterfly delphinium has been the only delphinium available, in both darker blue and lighter blue.  Snap dragons and stock have also been beautiful.

We have been able to get a miniature bouvardia and molucca balm from Melbourne.

Local arums have not yet started although there has been a wide range of imported arum and calla lilies.

Orchids, oriental lilies, asiatic lilies, longiflorum lilies, carnations, alstromeria, chrysanthemum and gladioli have been available.  Local cymbidium orchids have been fantastic, in a lovely colour range.

Gymea lilies have still been available this month.  Sea holly, blushing bride, banksias (coccinea, hookerania and menziesii), beautiful red and green leacadendron, and gumnuts have been available. Red wax bud and wax flower have both been available.  Pink boronia has started.  Proteas have been scarce, although we have received a few short proteas late in the month.

Hypericum has been available (imported).  Pink blossom branches started this month and the white is still available.

There has been no lisianthus.
