In July we have continued to get a lovely range of poppies, freesias, hyacinth, tulips and iris. We have also had daffodils and plenty of earlicheer jonquils. Sweet pea is just starting.
Ranunculus, anemones, arabs eye, daphne, violets or lily of the valley are not yet available. Roses have been readily available, with imports making up the shortfall of local production. Blue butterfly delphinium has been the only delphinium available, in both darker blue and lighter blue. Snap dragons and stock have also been beautiful.
Malucca balm, pepper berry, amaranth and hypericum have been available. Orchids, oriental lilies, asiatic lilies, longiflorum lilies, carnations, alstromeria, chrysanthemum, gladioli and sunflowers have been available. Local cymbidium orchids have been fantastic, in a lovely colour range.
Blushing bride, erica, banksias (coccinea, hookerania and menziesii), beautiful red and green leacadendron, tetra nuts and gumnuts have been available. Red wax bud and wax flower have both been available. Proteas have been available in a beautiful range of varieties, although not in great numbers.
Gymea lilies are available this month. Beautiful blossom branches started this month. Magnolia bud branches are also available. There has been no lisianthus.
