Visiting Canberra has alot to offer in Spring with our landscapes filled with beautiful blossom filled trees and bushland backdrops but one event that we look forward to each year is Floriade, Australia's biggest celebration of Spring offering manicured gardens filled with over one million blooms!
This year over 300,000 bulbs and annuals have also been planted by community groups, schools and organisations around Canberra, bringing bursts of colour to the whole city.
You can visit this colourful and carefully planned out wonderland of Spring blooms held annually in Commonwealth Garden on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin from mid September to mid October and there is always a diverse range of cultural celebrations, entertainment, workshops, wine and food to enjoy while you're there.
Floriade is free non-ticketed event with gates opening from 9.30am – 5.30pm daily.
