PET FRIENDLY FLOWERS AND WHAT TO AVOID

When it comes to gifting flowers it's important to be mindful of our furry friends. Some pets gravitate towards anything new we bring into our home while others aren't fazed by anything new.

So what flowers are the most pet-friendly?

Gerberas

There are new, beautiful gerbera varieties becomming available each year and these are no longer considerd a boring classic. They come is a wide range of beautiful colours and are considered pet friendly.

Orchids

One of the most stunning plants, most of the orchid varieties are also pet friendly. Though its best to avoid two orchid species if you have cats, Cypripedium species, or Lady Slipper Orchid.

Roses

While being one of the most popular flowers in the world for their beauty and romantic meanings they are also safe to be around your pets though it is always a good idea to remove the thorns if you think you pet may want to help themselves to a bloomm from the vase to chew on.

Sunflowers

These beautiful spring flowers offer a vibrant cheerful vibe to and room and we love how their flowers will naturally chasse the sunlight. They are also recognised as a pet friendly flower.
